Every Talksmith session follows the same 6-step production flow. Master this and you can produce a complete professional kit from any recording.

Create a Session

From the Editorial Desk (home screen), click + New session. Give it a descriptive name — e.g., "Week 3 Coaching Call" or "Onboarding Module 2". Optionally pick a Ritual preset to pre-select your kit type and voice profile.

Upload Your Audio

Drop your file on the upload area or click to browse. Accepted formats: MP3, WAV, M4A, WebM. Maximum file size: 25 MB. A typical 45-minute coaching call as an MP3 is well under this limit.

Transcribe

Click Transcribe. AI converts your audio to structured text (30–90 seconds). The transcript appears below — this is what drives all kit generation. Review it if you want, but editing it is optional.

Pick a Kit

Choose the type of asset bundle you want to create:

  • Offer Kit — pitch structure, signature offer outline, case study format, testimonial script, FAQ
  • Course Kit — module outline, lesson plan, teaching script, student worksheet, quiz
  • Course Product Kit — workbook, slide deck, quiz, sales page copy, 8-email launch sequence, lead magnet

Generate Kit

Click Generate Kit. Generation runs in the background and typically takes 1–3 minutes for a full kit (8 assets). A spinner banner shows while it works — the page auto-refreshes when done. No need to reload or wait on the screen.

Review & Download

Your assets appear as cards in the Review section. Click any card to expand and edit the content. Then download:

  • ⬇ PDF — branded, print-ready PDF of that asset
  • ⬇ Word — fully editable .doc (opens in Word or Google Docs)
  • ⬇ Download Course Pack — one ZIP containing all assets as PDF + Word + source text
Remember: You own 100% of everything Talksmith generates from your recordings. Use it in courses, sell it, license it — it belongs to you.

Generate a Course Kit from a recording, then open Template Studio → Remix, pick the same transcript, and generate a Content Kit. Two different products from one recording — no extra recording needed.

Agency Setup — First Week

Set up your Brand Profile (10 min)

Workspace → Brand Profile → Create. Upload your logo (PNG/SVG), set primary and secondary colors. All client PDFs now come branded as your agency.

Create a Voice Profile per client

Ask each client for a 2–5 min natural recording. Use Learn My Voice to auto-build their profile. Their kits will sound like them — which means clients see a premium, personalized deliverable.

Install the Embed Widget on your portal

Workspace → Embed Widget → Create → copy the script snippet → paste it on your client portal or onboarding page. Clients record directly; you receive the session. No file sharing back and forth.

Connect Webhooks to your delivery automation

Workspace → Webhooks → Add Endpoint → paste your n8n or Zapier webhook URL. When a kit finishes, your automation fires: email the Course Pack ZIP to the client, add a Notion page, log to a spreadsheet — all automatic.

Build your proprietary Kit templates

Template Studio → Kits → New Custom Kit. Define the exact outputs you produce for clients. These become your agency's IP — repeatable, consistent, and impossible for clients to get elsewhere.

How long does kit generation take?

1–3 minutes for a full kit (typically 8 assets). Generation runs in the background — the page auto-refreshes when done. A spinner shows while it's working. You don't need to sit and wait on the page.

I clicked Generate and got nothing — what happened?

This was a known timeout issue in older versions. If you're on the latest version, generation runs in background and you'll see a spinner banner that auto-refreshes. If you still see nothing after 5 minutes, refresh the page manually — your assets will be there.

Who owns the generated content?

You do — 100%. Everything generated from your recordings belongs to you. Sell it, publish it, license it, put your name on it. Talksmith makes no claim on your outputs.

What audio formats are accepted?

MP3, WAV, M4A, and WebM. Maximum 25 MB per file. For sessions longer than ~45 minutes, split the recording into two parts using any free audio editor before uploading.

Can I edit the generated content?

Yes. Click any asset card in the Review section to expand it and edit the text. Use the Rewrite options (Shorter, More Formal, Simplify, Expand) to adjust tone and length.

How does Voice Memory work?

You create a profile describing your tone (formal/conversational), target audience, key phrases, and style. AI uses this when generating your kit assets so they sound like you, not generic AI. Pro+ users can skip the manual setup with Learn My Voice — upload a sample and AI builds the profile automatically.

What's a Ritual?

A Ritual is a saved production preset combining a Kit type + Voice Profile + session name/goal. Instead of re-selecting these settings each time, you tap the Ritual and start recording. Ideal for recurring workflows: weekly coaching recap → Content Kit with your voice profile, every week, one tap.

How do I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Workspace (left rail) → Manage Plan → select a new plan. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades apply at the next billing cycle — you keep full access until then.

How do I cancel?

Workspace → Manage Plan → Cancel. Your access continues through the end of your billing period. No prorated refunds — you keep what you paid for.

Why does the sign-in show "Development mode"?

This is a cosmetic badge from our authentication provider — it doesn't affect any functionality. Everything runs in full production. The badge goes away when we connect a custom domain, which is on the roadmap.
